• Mission Statement

At Mountain West Turf Technologies, we are dedicated first and foremost to the people who make our mission possible: the turfgrass managers. Our core mission revolves around providing these hardworking individuals with the advanced tools and resources necessary to improve turf health, boost efficiency, and meet their diverse goals. Our commitment extends beyond mere technological innovation; it's about fostering a supportive community through unmatched customer service and meaningful relationships. We strive to redefine the landscape of technology-driven turfgrass management by prioritizing the needs and well-being of people in the Mountain West region and beyond. Together, we aim to cultivate a future where technology serves not just the land, but the individuals who steward it.

After stepping away from my role as an assistant superintendent at a Top 100 golf course, I found myself at a crossroads. Like a story similar to many, I was burned out and ready to leave the turf industry altogether. But as the weeks passed, I couldn't shake the feeling that there was still more to explore, more to contribute. I just needed to rediscover my passion and place.

So I dove headfirst into podcasts, articles, and conversations, immersing myself in the emerging technology sector of turfgrass management. Despite considering myself well-versed in the field, I was overwhelmed by the sheer number of technological advancements available to golf course superintendents today. It's a brave new world out there—where the greenskeepers of the future might more resemble Inspector Gadget than the legendary Carl Spackler.

During a long drive back from the GCSAA Conference and Trade Show in Phoenix, after seeing much of this new technology in person, I had ample time to reflect back on my place and passion in this industry. And it hit me— simply put: I want to work with companies that are using technology to make richer, fuller lives for superintendents, assistants, and their crews. Whether it's providing confidence in your agronomic decision making, increasing operational efficiency in all aspects of your department, or giving you that extra peace of mind while you’re away from work, technology has the power to offer the breathing room that turfgrass managers so desperately need.
